Snowdrop Shawl in Noro

Last weekend I spent a few hours making a shawl for my boss.

I love the shape. Maybe I'll make one for me.

My photos are terrible. I wish I had taken the time to get better ones.
Anyway, I used Noro Taiyo Sock. Yes the dreaded Noro. Actually the skein was not as bad as usual. There was hardly any problems with it this time minus the tangling. The pattern was fast and easy. I only used one skein of yarn with about 50 yds left. The pattern can be found here.

This is the only finished project I've made lately. Sad... But hopefully it'll motivate me to do more. Wait... I did make about 15 to 20 face scrubbies. I've also been a terrible blogger lately... not kept up with my favorite blogs. I'm a little ashamed of myself. I enjoy reading all of your posts and seeing your projects. Maybe doing so will bring me out of my funk. I think coming back from vacation then having to get ready for the holidays caused me to get a little down. Enough about that... we all have our down and out times.

Ireland's been asking me to finish her patchwork blanket. The craft room is a wreck... as usual, so cleaning it may help with motivation. That's what I'll be doing this weekend.

Disney

We've been back from Disney for almost two weeks now. I ended up with over 1200 photos so it's taken me awhile to go through them all. Warning: This is a long, photo heavy post.
Our first photo of the trip was at the Florida Visitor Center

We spent the first night in Cocoa Beach and then got on the cruise ship the next day

Day 1
Our first view of the ship, the Disney Dream
Waiting to embark
The staterooms are huge with portholes large enough to sit in

The ship was gorgeous
and decorated for Halloween
First night was Halloween so Ireland dressed as Belle from Beauty and the Beast
Her dinner buddy
Day 2: Nassau, Bahamas

We chose the Blue Lagoon Island excursion. It was perfect because we wanted a less crowded experience. I've been here before and knew it would be more peaceful than the Atlantis experience.

It is a beautiful island. The waves and wind prevented the beach side from opening so we had to stay on the lagoon side.

Day 3: Castaway Cay

The island was also beautiful but a little crowded for my taste.
Waiting to get back on the ship

Enjoying the view before dark
Day 4: Bye Bye Disney Dream, Hello Disney World

We left the ship about 10am and made it to All Star Movies Resort about 11am

We stayed in the Dalmations section

The first day we explored the resort and then went to Downtown Disney in the evening. We ate at Paradiso 37, which was really good
and shopped at the World of Disney, which is the best shop ever. We were all Disney Drunk in that store. Even Michael was a little giddy there.

Day 5: Magic Kingdom

Space Mountain
Splash Mountain

Day 6: Epcot

Ireland found her country

Day 6: A break

We stayed at the resort pool all day and then went to Boma, a restaurant at Animal Kingdom Lodge

This place was amazing
The lobby
We agreed that if we ever had an extra 400 a night to spend, hahaha, we would stay here in a room with a view of the safari

Day 7: Animal Kingdom

My favorite park

Day 9: Hollywood Studios

Fantasmic the best end to our vacation
I wish I could post more, but just uploading these took a whole day.

Now that we're back I can focus on crocheting and knitting. I've been consumed by Disney for awhile now.
