About

I'm Elizabeth and I live in North Carolina

I love to crochet and knit (mostly crochet). When I started this blog I was a stay-at-home mom to my daughter Ireland and had more time to post about patterns, projects, and giveaways. Now I work full time as a social worker at a nursing facility. I don't have as much time to crochet as much as I would like, but I try to do as much as possible.

I prefer patterns that are simple in design, using simple stitch combinations.

I offer most of my patterns for free.

Most photos you see here are taken with a Nikon D3100.

A few facts about me:

My last name changed to Pardue, but you can still find me as Elizabeth Trantham if you search me online.

We have a Shih tzu doggie and two outside cats. (Ireland really wants a collie). I would also love a couple of parakeets, but do not believe I could handle a mini zoo:)

I really do read all emails and comments even if I do not answer all of them. I'm trying to do better with this, I promise.

I am not a yarn snob, I do use acrylic as much as wool, alpaca, cotton, and other fibers. It's not my favorite, but it's very accessible.

I am working on my bucket list, (jumped out of an airplane, Disney Cruise, etc). I hope to one day retire at the beach and this will complete the list (Maybe).

You can also find me on Ravelry. My name on Ravelry is Elizabeth Ray (my maiden name).

If you would like to ask me a question, contact me at

I hope you find something here you would like to make

  9. Someone introduced me to Ravelry almost 2 years ago and I started looking for various patterns; scarves, baskets, pillows, hats. I kept finding cute patterns that I liked and would click on the link to the free pattern and I'd keep finding myself back at your blog. I guess we have the same style but how could I not?!?!? I seriously love your stuff. I'm in the middle of making a Hello Kitty hat for my daughter and will (simultaneously) be making several of the baskets. I bought a ton of t-shirts at Volunteers of America thrift store a year ago with the hopes of making beach bags out of them but it never got off the ground and I just saw your hombre bag with t-shirts. Love, love, love!! I'm making crochet gifts for all the women in my bible study and all I need to do is search your blog for all kinds of lovely, fun and interesting projects. Now all I need is more time! ;) Thanks for generously providing all your patterns for free. I would love to sit down with you over a cup of coffee sometime and talk crocheting. Feel like I know you just from reading this!

    1. Hi,
I'm happy you like the patterns. I just wanted to let you know I am giving away a book that includes one of my patterns. It is a basket made with t-shirts. If you would like to enter to win it, just go to my recent blog post and leave me a comment. I thought it might help you with making those beach bags or baskets with those t-shirts you bought.
      Thanks,
      Liz
